By accessing or using the National Defence Gateway ("NDG", "we", "our", or "us") platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

National Defence Gateway provides an online learning management system that offers:

• Progress tracking and analytics
• Institution management tools
• Student-teacher interaction features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Account Types

• Student: Access courses, take tests, and track progress
• Teacher: Manage students, create assessments, and view analytics
• Principal: Oversee institution operations and staff
• Institution Admin: Full administrative control over institution

3.3 Account Approval

Some account types require approval from institution administrators or NDG staff before access is granted. We reserve the right to reject or revoke accounts at our discretion.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
• Copy, distribute, or share copyrighted course materials without permission
• Engage in cheating or academic dishonesty
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, and software, is the property of NDG or its content providers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

5.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

5.2 Restrictions

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

6. Payments and Refunds

6.1 Fees

Certain courses and features may require payment. All fees are displayed at the time of purchase and are subject to change.

6.2 Refund Policy

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Generally, refunds may be available within 7 days of purchase if you have not accessed more than 30% of the course content.

7. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That the platform will meet your specific requirements
• The accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the platform

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NDG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NDG, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
